OK - I know you have plenty to do on a Saturday besides learning about technology in the classroom. However, there is a great summit happening online this weekend! If you have plans already, you will be able to access the recordings at a later time. Here's the info:

We see QR codes (those funny looking black speckled squares) everywhere these days. Most of them are advertisements. However, there are many great uses for them in schools where students can use tablets with cameras or smart phones.
One such great use came from Julie Spang (Technology Teacher, Hudson Public schools). Ms. Spang has her students post work to their own blogs and uses the QR codes to link to each student's blog. The cool thing is that they "made posters around the school for students to enjoy while they pass from class to class". What a unique way to share work without the worry of damage to original artwork and the like! This especially is nice for my school's campus - we have open hallways and many outdoor displays get damaged with the weather! |
